Increase Productivity-Achieve More!

It is no wonder that regardless of how motivated each one of us is, or how much we love what we do, we all have the tendency of procrastinating, avoiding tasks, and just wasting large chunks of our time. However, doing so might not always be possible or feasible especially when you have a target to achieve.
Increasing productivity is not as difficult as it may sound. All you need to do is know where you want to go, and automatically all your actions start heading in the same direction. So the first step I believe would be to identify a goal. Write down on a sticky note, what you want to achieve and make sure you look at your written down goal at least a few times a day. This will help you remain focused and not get distracted.
Second, reward yourself often. Positive reinforces work best when talking about learning and productivity. Set various milestones for yourself, and reward yourself every time you achieve one.
Moreover, take breaks. Working continuously at a certain task, no matter how focused you are, will often lead you to getting tired of the same activity. Therefore, make sure you take breaks often enough and have some time-out before you get back to work.
Deadline deadline deadline! No one can disregard the importance of setting deadlines. Along with keeping your goal in mind, it is absolutely vital that you also set deadlines for yourself specifying when you want to achieve them by. This will help you in working faster towards your objective, thus helping you accomplish more.
Additionally, prioritize. We all have various activities in the day, some which may be important but not urgent or urgent and important. Classify your tasks into these categories and accomplish what is important and urgent, putting away the important but not urgent tasks for later when you have free time. Doing so, will help you achieve what cannot be delayed, and will help you avoid wasting time on activities that could’ve been delayed for some other time.
We often make mistakes when working towards goals which does not allow us to achieve them, and in turn demotivates us. Avoid those mistakes, and instead choose to join a group of people working towards the same goal. Compare results, and discuss ideas which could speed up your goal achievement process. Indulge in positive competition, aiming to achieve your goal before others, and set higher standards for yourself each day, thus increasing the amount you achieve.
In such a situation, no one but yourself can help you, so make sure you constantly remind yourself of what you want, why you want it and how you’ll achieve it, and you’re good to go!
